Radio Lurgan is coming — a brand-new community radio station created by the people of Lurgan, for the people of Lurgan. We’re building something exciting, meaningful, and completely rooted in our town’s unique character.

But before we launch, we’re forming our Founding Committee — a small team of passionate locals who will shape the station from the ground up.

Who We’re Looking For

You don’t need radio experience — just enthusiasm for Lurgan and a willingness to help build something new.

We’re looking for people who are:

- Creative and full of ideas

- Interested in storytelling, music, or local life

- Supportive of cross-community involvement

- Willing to meet, plan, and help shape the project

Roles and interests may include programming, youth engagement, outreach, social media, local news, events, fundraising, and planning.

What the Formation Committee Will Do

The committee will help develop the station vision, shape early programming ideas, build community connections, explore partnerships, guide setup, and create the foundations for something long-lasting.

How Much Time Is Involved?

The committee will meet once a month, with occasional optional working groups for those who want to do more.
